Suspension Modification Found to Be Cause of Vehicular Death

Summary:

Photo board of a reconstruction of the accident with the actual vehicles
choreographed after the fact. This exhibit demonstrated the extreme
override of the plaintiff’s vehicle by the modified truck driven by the
defendant.

A traffic accident between a pickup truck and a SUV should not have resulted in fatal injuries to the driver. However, because of the failure of a front suspension lift kit on the pickup truck, the front of that vehicle struck the SUV so high that it circumvented the safety bars installed in the driver’s side door. Liability was shared between the pickup truck’s driver and the manufacturer of the lift kit.
